Life on Boracay

Life on Boracay

Island life, eats & investment treats

Of course, you'll need some relaxation time after the efforts of the day, and Boracay offers a massive variety of entertainment: from quiet beach bars with ambient chill out tunes, live music, busy bars and a couple of beach nightclubs. There is truly something for most on Boracay.

Before kitesurfing came to the island, Boracay was already famous for windsurfing. Again the flat water and shallow conditions make windsurfing a joy. We can arrange windsurfing rentals and tuition at around $12 per hour. Or for proficient windsurfers there’s a range of new boards and Gaastra sails.

If you are fed up of staying on top of the water why not try getting into it? Boracay is surrounded by many great dive sites and our partners Calypso Diving are the region's leaders in offering fun dives and courses for all standards. Fun dives start from around $30. Closer to our end of the beach with a more family feel is FishEye Divers (next to Starbucks).

Wakeboarding / Waterski / Banana boats / Flying fish rides

Get in some practicing, with the wakeboard boats which operate from White Beach (it'll help your kitesurfing too!). Or just enjoy the ride, holding onto one of many types of craft behind a speedboat.

Mountain Biking

The island is a great place to explore, and the best way to do it is by mountain bike. Find deserted beaches, and see life carry on as it always has in the small fishing villages. Bikes can be rented by the hour from many places on White Beach.

Sunsets here are beautiful, and what better way to really enjoy them, than by sailing 'paraw'. A sunset cruise is a perfect way to end a perfect day.

Boracay is still enjoying returns on property despite the global downturn of recent years. Apartments 2years ago at 250K are now selling in excess of 300K.

Business and leisure opportunity. Resort and Kiteschool.

A unique opportunity now awaits the person looking to have an established resort and business in Boracay. MiSueno is an ongoing business of 4 rooms/ studio apartments with a 130m 2 bedroom open plan owners apartment above. Downstairs caters for an ever increasing kitesurfers haven market.

For further info contact MiYoung@ocean-republic.com and she can find something perfect for you and your budget.

Why choose Boracay to invest? Boracay has recently become a "must go" "must see" destination. Its the NOW destination in Asia as Koh Samui was 20 years ago. Image if you'd invested there 20 years ago?

International flights direct to your door coming soon to Nabas, Caticlan means simplicity in accessibility, which makes investment all the more attractive.

If you were thinking you'd love a spot in paradise with all the comforts, then your searching is over and your journey is just beginning.

Where to eat and drink on Boracay

There are plenty to choose from. Whether its cheap and local or a special occasion there’s food and prices to suit all. But here’s a few favourites to save some of the trial and error.

Lemoni Cafe (just fabulous)*****
What can we say about Lemon Cafe? Tatler Award winning and we had them cater our wedding. Clean crisp decor that doesn't suit intimate cosy meals but the food is simply excellent. Try the seared sesame ahi tuna and soba noodles followed by the tiger prawns and coconut risotto. The deserts are what draws the crowd. Expect to pay for 2 persons $40-$50 with wine. Located in D'Mall.

Wahine (diniwid) *****
With the loss of 10 year local institution Cafe del Mar on White Beach, Cory now has to focus on Wahine at Diniwid beach. his is quickly becoming a locals hideaway haunt with quality cocktails and epically good food.

Smoke Restaurant *** (best bang for your bucks)
Located at the rear of the wet market at the back of d’mall, serving euro style Filipino food. Super good and as cheap as chips. 80 peso for 1 course. Service is good!

Valhalla ****
Located in D'Mall, this viking style steak house serves excellent food. Always busy !

Mañana ***
Between boat station 1 and d’mall, 5 stars well earned by the huge margaritas, food is………well….. Mexican. All your regular stuff and some tasty sizzling platters. 3 margaritas will set you up for a good night out. Unfortunately since a refurb prices have risen to higher than the food is worth. So 5 stars is now 3. Still worth a try and always a great group night destination.

Aria ***
Tragically Aria sports some of the best Italian food on the island and is ideally located centrally but offers some of the poorest service and highest prices. Busy (due to star power) hence be prepared to wait, hence 3* and not 5.
